This five-day workshop is all about painting from nature while enjoying the outdoors. We will be working on location at beaches, wetlands, and other natural parks in the Orange County area. Throughout the course, Chapman will guide you step by step through the process of creating a successful plein air painting. Chapman will be giving demos and individual critiques to each student during the class, specific to their needs. At the conclusion of this workshop, students will have learned how to choose an interesting composition, make preliminary sketches, apply color theory, use a variety of brushwork, create depth with atmosphere perspective and learn how to share their experience in nature through painting.

 

 

This class is created for all levels of skill from beginners to advanced students.

Space is limited so early sign-ups are recommended.
