Service Description

PRICE: $ 425 per semester + $50 non-refundable registration fee At checkout you can pay the $50 registration fee to hold your spot. Then pay the class price $425 with cash/check on first day of class or pay through your charter. AGES: 6th grade & up TIME: Mondays 12:00pm - 2:00pm COURSE DESCRIPTION: Have fun creating in clay and learning sculpture fundamentals. This course will focus on traditional sculpting methods and techniques that Chapman learned during his time studying in Florence, Italy. Project subjects will include plaster cast studies, portraits, animals, and more. Students will learn to work from life, photographs, and imagination. There will also be personal projects where students will get to explore their own ideas and concepts with the guidance and feedback of Chapman. MATERIALS: Some water-based clay and sculpture tools will be provided. Clay-modelling tools, water-based clay, and oil-based clay will need to be purchased by the student. A materials list will be sent out a few weeks prior to the first class. CLASS DURATION: Spring semester is 15 weeks Start Date: January 22nd, 2024. (Near Edison High School & Sowers Middle School.) CLASS SIZE: 16 students max.
