This five-day workshop is all about painting from nature while enjoying the outdoors. We will be working on location at beaches, and other natural parks in Newport and Laguna Beach. We will study waves, clouds, bluffs and how to paint what you see. Throughout the course, students will learn step by step through the process of creating a successful work of art inspired by nature.

At the conclusion of this workshop, students will have learned how to choose an interesting composition, draw preliminary sketches, apply color theory, use a variety of brushwork and techniques, create depth using atmospheric perspective, and learn how to share their experience in nature through painting. This class is created for all levels of skill from complete beginners to advanced students.
